Manchester City: Fans react to Ilkay Gundogan’s message

After Liverpool took an eight-point lead in the title race on Sunday, nine ahead of Manchester City with Leicester and Chelsea leap-frogging the Sky Blues, questions were asked over Ilkay Gundogan’s performance.
Early strikes from Fabinho, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane all but sealed the win in an epic encounter, with Bernardo Silva nicking a late goal back, but some argue the first goal could’ve been easily prevented if it wasn’t for Gundogan’s sloppy clearance.
Is Angelino good enough for Manchester City?
Yes

No

After the loss, the German international took to social media and gave an encouraging statement following another hammer blow to City’s title ambitions, stating: “We always try to do our best on the pitch, but sometimes it doesn’t work out. Very disappointing defeat at Anfield. Luck was not on our side – We have to accept it, nevertheless there’s still a long way to go…See you after the international break.”
Some supporters have since responded negatively to the post, blaming the 29-year-old for Liverpool’s opener.
Here’s what they had to say on Twitter.

You aren’t good enough Gundogan..You caused Bravo’s red card at Atalanta and gifted the first go for Fabinho..You have the talent but not the heart and desire..Play like a warrior in the big games. The league is gone
