Manchester City: Fans react to latest in Lautaro Martinez transfer saga

Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claim City have withdrawn from the race to sign Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez.
Martinez is currently enjoying a remarkable season, with the Argentine’s 11 Serie A goals, in addition to his five in the Champions League, being one of the many reasons that Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Juventus and PSG have all reportedly taken an interest in the 22-year-old.
However, according to reports in Spanish publication Marca (via Sport Witness), Pep Guardiola has dismissed the idea of City signing Martinez, with the Spanish manager reportedly believing that the striking department does not need significant investment right now, and would rather the funds available be used on other areas of the squad.
In reaction to the latest update on the Martinez transfer saga, which was relayed on Twitter by Man City Xtra, fans of the club have flocked to share their opinion on the matter, with many stating their belief that it is good news that City are not in for the forward, while others have suggested that City move for Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Braut Haaland instead of the £72million-rated Martinez.
