With the game tied at 1-1 and heading into the final seconds, Mohamed Salah’s header over Claudio Bravo looked to have beaten the Chilean keeper, but then Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker arrived onto the scene.
The England international managed to produce a stunning overhead clearance to boot the ball well away from danger and ultimately send the game to penalties, which City won 5-4.
Such a spectacular piece of defending saw Walker win plenty of plaudits for his acrobatic effort as City fans stormed to social media to praise the former Tottenham full-back for what proved to be a match-defining clearance.
