Leroy Sane’s 2019/20 has been practically non-existent even without the Premier League being postponed due to some recent developments that have made football take a backseat.
The winger suffered a cruciate ligament rupture at the very beginning of the current campaign and has been sidelined for a total of 41 games since that clash with Liverpool in the Community Shield. Now, it obviously seems that the 24-year-old German international may not get a chance to return to full fitness with his club for the foreseeable future since all football has been put on hold.
Teammate Ilkay Gundogan, recently, has been answering some fan questions on his Twitter profile and one of them asked whether Gundogan told Sane to stay at Manchester City.
Here’s his response:
Sure 😉 I would be happy if he remains my teammate for many years … we will see what will happen! https://t.co/UZu3Wr7EXn

Of course, Sane was heavily linked (per the Daily Star) with a transfer to Bayern Munich even prior to the whole mess that has befallen the footballing world as of late and it will be interesting to see how all of that affects the outcome of that potential switch to Germany.
Either, his compatriot looks as if he’s given his verdict on any potential switch.
Manchester City fans, do you want Sane to stay at your club? Do you think he’ll end up going to Bayern? Let us know down in the comments below!
