It’s a transfer that makes sense to most in the Football Transfer after it was strongly rumoured that Manuel Pellegrini will be the new Manchester City manager and today The Sun are reporting that City are hopeful that he will be bringing Malaga ace Isco to the club with him.
Pellegrini will be announced as the successor to Roberto Mancini this week despite the Spanish club holding up the deal. Once the 59-year-old Chilean tactician is in place they are confident it will give them a massive advantage in the pursuit of the 21-year-old attacking midfielder.
Real Madrid are also thought to be looking at Isco, who has shone for the Spanish Under-21 side in their opening three games of the European Championships in Israel, and he could be available for around £17 million.
Malaga have been rocked with news that their UEFA ban has been upheld for next season meaning they miss out on playing in the Europa League despite qualifying and this could see Isco push for a move away from La Rosaleda.
If City can capture the playmaker it will take their summer spending to over £60 million after Shakhtar Donetsk’s Fernandinho and Sevilla’s Jesus Navas were signed as part of Pellegrini’s revolution.
Will the Spanish starlet be joining Pellegrini in Manchester or will Real Madrid up the ante? Rate this rumour below.
