Manchester City looking at experienced pro to try and solve problem area at last

Our Manchester City fans here in the Transfer Tavern are eager to see their side do some serious business once the transfer window opens up.

The men from the Etihad have been going along decently if not brilliantly this season and whilst their attacking play has been superb at times their defensive displays just haven’t been very good.

Pep Guardiola, then, needs to get some signings in that are going to strengthen their options at the back and, according to Bleacher Report, he could be looking to call on an old friend.

Indeed, they are reporting that Victor Valdes could be the man to help solve City’s goalkeeping issues that have really caused the club problems this season.

Claudio Bravo, of course, came in at the start of the season but really has left a lot to be desired whilst Willy Caballero also has mistakes in him.

A new stopper, then, seems to be a must with Joe Hart clearly not fancied by Pep and our landlord reckons Valdes might just be an ideal option for next season.
