As quoted by Danish newspaper BT (via Football-Oranje) one of Manchester City’s scouts has confirmed they are monitoring Kasper Dolberg of Ajax.
The young Danish forward has impressed for the Dutch side this season with eleven goals in 21 appearances so far, and that has apparently attracted the overtures of many sides in Europe.
City, then, could be just one of the sides to consider making an offer and our resident Citizens fans here in the Transfer Tavern, after seeing Dolberg’s record, hope it can be them who seal the deal.
Certainly, they have the money and offer Champions League football whilst scout Sebastian Arnesen has given a pretty clear indication of their intentions over the player right now.
“We are keeping a very close eye on him, and when the time is right we’ll make a decision on whether we should act.” Arnesen said, before continuing:
“He has a huge potential. He is tall, strong, brave and quick. He has an excellent touch, can play with his back to the goal and take the right decisions. And he can finish anywhere in the field. He is so special, and therefore he is of course also on the radar.”
Manchester City have a huge array of young talent at their disposal now thanks to their financial muscle.
The likes of Kelechi Iheanacho and Pablo Maffeo have impressed this season for Pep Guardiola’s side and, it has to be said, that is just the tip of the iceberg.
Our punters here in the Transfer Tavern always want to see the future of their clubs being looked after and with this latest news, our local City fans seem pretty confident their team is in good hands.
