Manchester City reach decision over potential double deal with European giants

Our Manchester City fans here in the Transfer Tavern cannot wait for their side to play again this weekend with them hosting Everton on Monday night.

The men from the Etihad are many people’s favourites for the title and you can see why when you consider the huge amount of talent that is swirling around at the club at the moment.

For sure, then, the Citizens are looking good at the moment and whilst we wait to see how they do against the Toffees, it seems as though they have come to a decision over two of their players.

Indeed, according to The Express, City have told European giants Inter Milan that they can take Eliaquim Mangala from their squad but they cannot have Nicolas Otamendi.

The Italian side apparently were keen on signing both centre-halves but Pep Guardiola has seemingly made it clear that no double deal will be occurring.

Indeed, Otamendi looks an important part of his City squad for this season but Mangala, meanwhile, looks like one of those players set to exit ASAP.

Landlord’s Verdict

Man City are rightly one of the favourites for the Premier League this season and you can understand why with the sheer amount of quality in their squad.

It makes sense, then, for the club to try and make some money from selling players deemed not good enough by Pep and so letting Mangala shouldn’t see many disagree whilst keeping Otamendi is also a pretty good idea.
