Our Manchester City fans here in the Transfer Tavern are expecting some battles this summer transfer window with their club sorely needing extra players.
Of course, it seems almost ludicrous to suggest that a club as rich as City need extra signings but that is where they find themselves at the moment given that they are well short of the title race this year.
Indeed, many felt that City would be the team to beat this season, what with Pep Guardiola being in charge, but he has found things tough and so a rebuild is needed when the next window opens.
Who comes in, of course, remains to be seen but The Sun reckons that the men from the Etihad are well involved in the battle for the superb Monaco attacker Kylian Mbappe.
Monaco are arguably the story of the European season with the way they have gone so far with their young stars and Mbappe is certainly a big reason behind that.
The report believes that they and Real Madrid are tussling over a £110 million for the star, too, whilst PSG and Manchester United are also thought to be watching on.
