Though Pep Guardiola’s instant impact at Manchester City is there for all to see, the Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern are hugely excited for the future.
The manner in which the legendary Spanish coach has improved the Sky Blues already has had the fans propping up the bar with smiles as wide as Cheshire cats.
Still, there’s a strong feeling the 45-year-old is already building for the future, one prevalent in the signing of Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus.
Sergio Aguero and Kelechi Iheanacho currently occupy the central striking berths at the Etihad, though the Brazilian forward represents a bright future.
Brazilian newspaper Agora has compared the 19-year-old’s start for the Selecao to that of both Pele and Neymar’s.
Currently on loan with Palmeiras, the £27m forward has scored four goals in his opening four games for the Canarinhos’ senior side.
That’s a better star than both the aforementioned samba stars, who bagged three in their opening four each.
In fact, Neymar needed eight games to get four goals, while two-time World Cup-winner Pele needed five.
With Jesus due to begin his City career in January, these are exciting times for the club.
How far can Jesus go in the game? Let us know below…
