Our Manchester City fans here in the Transfer Tavern are confident the Pep Guardiola revolution is going to start in earnest next year with L’Equipe the latest to report a potential new signing.
The Citizens have had plenty of ups and downs this season but when they’re good you can see a team that really can take anyone to the cleaners on their day.
What needs to happen over the summer, then, is bringing in signings to help that evolution and it appears Guardiola wants to target youth with that in mind.
According to the French outlet the Citizens are looking at promising Monaco youngster Thomas Lemar with the player excelling this season in Ligue 1.
The side from the principality have been flying in their division this season whilst they also look like dark horses for the Champions League – something City will need to be aware of next week.
The midfielder can be dynamite when he’s on form and has averaged a goal just over every three games – not bad for someone who’s played 30+ times this year.
