It’s been a big summer for the Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern, who’ve been absolutely delighted to see Pep Guardiola splash the cash at the Etihad.
Indeed, having failed to deliver any silverware during his first season in charge of the Sky Blues, the legendary Spanish coach is under pressure to win the Premier League title, particularly after their record breaking summer spend.

Still, it seems one man who could play a role within City’s talent packed squad is young creative midfielder, Phil Foden. Indeed, according to Dean Jones, the 17-year-old has been the subject of a few loan offers over the course of the summer, though City are understood to want to keep him in their squad.
Guardiola raved about the talented teen’s performance in a pre-season friendly against Manchester United and the punters propping up our bar are eager to see a youth prospect developed into what could potentially be a top star.
A wonderfully gifted No.10, the academy graduate surely has a big future ahead of him and the notion of developing his game under Pep’s watchful eye is a seriously exciting one.
Though Foden may struggle for much in the way of first-team minutes amid City’s ridiculously talented front line, even learning under Guardiola for a season will be hugely beneficial for his game.
A future England international (though that’s not saying all too much) Foden could become a serious talent at the Etihad and it’s refreshing to see him handed a chance at City.
