Man City are predominately a side known for splashing the cash and they could enhance that reputation once again if they plan on re-signing Jadon Sancho.
With talks accelerating about City planning to bring back Sancho as the MEN claims there is a buy-back clause in his deal, this move could be a brilliant one for both parties seeing how well the 18-year-old has been performing for Borussia Dortmund.
Earning a place in the England set-up due to his brilliance, Sancho is an electric, exciting player that will add even more flair to the current Premier League champions.
Like all moves though, there can be pro’s and cons, with this potential transfer being no different.
Raheem Sterling becomes overshadowed
Jadon Sancho is a winger and with City already equipped with many top players, this could mean a certain Raheem Sterling could be the man that becomes overshadowed by Pep Guardiola in favour of the younger option.
Sterling was one of City’s most influential players last season during their title surge but something would have to give to accommodate Jadon Sancho within the current Man City set-up.
There would not be an easy option for Pep Guardiola but on the other hand you could argue that with Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane, Riyad Mahez, Bernando Silva and Jadon Sancho, Man City have some of the finest wide options in world football so whether Sterling is the man dropped for Sancho, it surely won’t put a stop to City’s dominance either way.
Sancho and Foden re-unite but in the first-team
Jadon Sancho did enjoy a good stay at Man City before refusing to train over not signing a new contract as he left behind good friend Phil Foden.
With Foden also making inroads to breaching The Citizens first-team, the pair could link up once again to be a force in the league for years to come.
