Our Manchester City fans here in the Transfer Tavern think Pep Guardiola has done a decent job this season though his goalkeeper stance continues to frustrate.
The Citizens have recovered from a brief blip earlier this year to now find themselves on the brink of the Champions League quarter-finals and the chief challengers to Chelsea in the Premier League.
Winning the latter, at least, may be a little far-fetched but the signs are there that City are getting to grips with Guardiola’s style and if they can get a decent ‘keeper they could be well away.
Claudio Bravo has underwhelmed and, according to Calciomercato, Samir Handanovic could be his successor.
The experienced stopper has reportedly changed agents to now work with Fali Ramadani – someone who knows how to bring players to the Etihad.
Stevan Jovetic and Matija Nastasic have secured moves via his services and the Italian outlet reckon this is the next step to Handanovic making the move in the summer.
He’s certainly got the calibre to do well at the club and our landlord reckons he could be a good signing for the Citizens.
