It was seven years ago yesterday that Manchester City confirmed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho and he remains an integral part of the furniture at the Etihad Stadium.
Now 35, the veteran has gone to play more than 300 times for the Cityzens, with 23 goals and 25 assists to his name since coming to the club. Over the course of those seven years, he has played under just two managers at the Etihad in Manuel Pellegrini and then Pep Guardiola, enjoying success under both.
Once David Silva departs the club this summer, Fernandinho is set to become the second longest-serving member of Manchester City’s senior squad after Sergio Aguero, a tribute to the Brazilian’s longevity and commitment to the club.
He has had plenty of moments to savour, and perhaps the very occasional one to forget, since coming to England in 2013, but how much of his Manchester City career can you recall? Test your knowledge by taking our quiz below!
