Rosell launches scathing attack on City

It would not be a transfer window here at the Football Transfer Tavern without one club getting shirty with another and the way in which they conduct their transfer dealings. According to the Daily Mail we have found such a situation after Barca chief Sandro Rosell attacked Manchester City over how they conduct their transfer business.

The Barcelona president claimed that City were after their players and had made several approaches in the past. Of course, leaving the mighty Barcelona at present isn’t a common occurence given their success but these approaches have still left Rosell feeling irked.

The main man claimed to RAC1: “There have been some offensive approaches from City, at all levels of the structure of the club, but no one wants to go.” He placed the blame squarely on the heads of former Barcelona directors Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain.

Rosell also went on to moan “I had hoped that he (Begiristain) would not use the information he gathered about Barcelona during his time here to help another club become bigger, but he seems to disagree with me. I would like it if the relationship between both clubs was a bit better and more transparent.”

Just which players Rosell is referring to remains to be seen, yet one would think that City have their own problems – trying to keep Mario Balotelli well behaved!
