Striker to remain at City this January?

It seems more likely that a day will go by without beer in the Football Transfer Tavern than an absence of a story containing Mario Balotelli’s antics and today is no different. The Mirror have weighed in on the forwards future.

Everyone must have seen the photos of the bust up between Roberto Mancini and Balotelli after the strikers tackle on Scott Sinclair in training. Whilst victim Scott Sinclair is now firmly on the back pages as opposed to the bench, it has still caused issues in the City camp.

With AC Milan yesterday ruling themselves out of the running for the player it seems City are stuck with Balotelli. As our landlord quips, their first reaction to this should be to put up a higher fence around training to keep the media and their camera’s away. In fact if we were Mancini, we would be doing it ourselves.

Yet again Mancini has claimed that the player still has chances left to prove himself and despite being out for the last few weeks with a virus, Balotelli could well be in the squad for the FA Cup tie against Watford this weekend. Fellow striker Sergio Aguero is of course still out with injury, giving Mario the perfect chance to step up and save his City career.
