Manchester City fans still haven’t quite come to terms with what they saw their no. 1 do in an England shirt on Monday, and have been drowning their sorrows in the Football Transfer Tavern ever since, but now news from the radio may give them some hope.
Talksport are reporting that, off the back of his tragic Euro 2016 performances, Joe Hart’s position at Manchester City may be in doubt and that incoming boss Pep Guardiola is looking to Spain for alternatives.
The former Barcelona boss is turning to his old club for a solution to his issue and is reportedly looking to bring experienced shot stopper, Claudio Bravo, to the Premier League before the start of the new season.
The Landlord was quick to point out to the City fans that, in stark contrast to Hart, Bravo has in fact just captained his nation, Chile, to victory over Argentina in the Copa America final – forcing club-mate Lionel Messi into international retirement.
The Mail have reported that the 33-year-old was not Guardiola’s first choice, with fellow Barcelona keeper, Marc-Andre ter Stegen declaring that he will not leave the Nou Camp.
City fans, should Guardiola be looking for a new keeper in the light of Hart’s recent mishaps, or should he stick with the delightfully dandruff free Englishman? Let us know below…
