Historically, Manchester City are a club renowned for bringing through young players and developing them into international footballers.
Since the Abu-Dhabi take over in 2008 however, City have not had the opportunity to bring youth players into the first-team – as their owners often demanded instant success.
Now, City have the biggest and arguably the best facilities in Europe for youth development – and the owners are now keen to implement a core of youth players into the first-team squad.
Jason Denayer, Kelechi Iheanacho and Jose Pozo are some of the players recently been given their debuts by the club.
