Manchester City are hoping to keep the same tight-knit group of players well motivated for the tricky task that awaits them of taking over Liverpool in 1stplace.
Currently four points away, last season’s champions are hoping to continue their good form and hope that Liverpool slip up.
It’s a possibility definitely but one that seems more and more unlikely as the games pass.
Nevertheless, Manchester City’s squad quality cannot be doubted and the players do have the capabilities to beat Jurgen Klopp and company to the title.
One man who has been essential over the past two seasons is winger Bernardo Silva and if City had to choose between adding new stars or giving a new contract to the Portuguese international, it simply has to be the latter.
Silva, (who is valued at £58.5 million on Transfermarkt) is a player capable of changing the game for City, as he has already done on countless occasions.
With five goals and six assists in the Premier League alone this season, his contribution still manages to go under the radar but it can’t anymore – City must tie him down to a new deal and fast.
As a nimble, versatile attacker, Bernardo Silva has showcased all his very best assets whilst playing for the Premier League club and it’s a partnership they want to continue because of it.
The 24-year-old has plenty of time left in his footballing days and those prime years could be spent with Manchester City, as he and the team continue to battle for trophies.
