Manchester City have one hand on the Premier League, a sign of their brilliance leading up to the last game of the season. If you've just recovered from Vincent Kompany's late, late winner on Monday night, it could be time to get ready to party again tomorrow...

Indeed, to have held off Liverpool throughout the season is one hell of an achievement and Pep Guardiola will likely (as per the Telegraph some time ago) then be rewarded with a gigantic budget in the summer, as a token of the owner's appreciation.

Obviously, it is a hard task to pinpoint exactly where City could improve because of the positions many would have said straight away is left-back. Because of Benjamin Mendy's struggle with injuries, a number of players have tried their hand at the role, including Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is now the starter in that role.

Zinchenko, (who is valued at £13.5 million on Transfermarkt) has once again been used at left-back this season but suddenly to great avail.

After struggling initially last season when drafted in to play that role, Zinchenko has since deputised for his World Cup-winning teammate extremely well. With that in mind, Guardiola must make use of the Ukrainian international rather than turning to Mendy next season, as the Citizens have been unstoppable with him on the field.

In his 13 Premier League appearances, Zinchenko and City have won every single won of them, keeping ten clean-sheets as well in the process. The 22-year-old has provided three assists during those appearances, whilst his defensive capabilities have massively improved as well.

Manchester City count themselves extremely lucky to have such a versatile player within their ranks as Oleksandr Zinchenko can play anywhere from left-back, to central-midfield. He has shown great maturity throughout the season and has adapted brilliantly to the role in which Pep Guardiola demands he performs.

Instead of spending millions on a new left-back, City should really consider sticking with Oleksandr Zinchenko and help him progress even more in the coming seasons.
