Manchester United fans are looking up in interest here at the Football Transfer Tavern as it has been claimed by the Daily Mail that the club are refusing to comply to Nani’s contract demands and are set to consider an approach from Paris Saint-Germain for the winger.
Nani’s future has long been speculated about and now it seems that Sir Alex Ferguson is finally set to claim enough is enough and allow the player to leave. Given that he has never really lived up to the expectations that have been placed on him Nani may well relish the chance to start somewhere new and try to rebuild his reputation.
Given that the player is approaching the final year of his contract and is demanding a massive £100,000 per week, it is no wonder that PSG fancy their chances of landing him and think that around £10 million would be enough to persuade Fergie to sell.
Nani cost the club £15 million from Sporting Lisbon in 2007 and to allow him to run down his contract and leave on a free is something Fergie is simply not willing to do. Should Nani refuse to pen a new deal on wages that United feel are suitable for him, they will place him up for sale and Carlo Ancelotti is priming himself to land the Portuguese winger.
