The Express reports that Juventus have ended their interest in Manchester United ace Nani and instead the winger will sign a new deal to remain at Old Trafford.
The Serie A side’s sporting director Giuseppe Marotta has reportedly said that be won’t be moving to Turin and that instead a deal has been struck with United on a contract extension.
When quizzed aabout Nani, Marotta said: “He’s renewed his contract with Manchester United and we never negotiated for him.”
It appears that, despite speculation to the contrary, Juventus have never made any final offers for the Portuguese international and now Marotta has potentially given United supporters in the tavern important information about the player’s long-term future in Manchester.
Many thought that Nani would be on his way out this summer with only 12 months left on his current contract at Old Trafford and the arrival of Crystal Palace starlet Wilfried Zaha looked to be a replacement for the 26-year-old.
Fellow Serie A outfit Roma have been linked with his services while Arsenal have also been rumoured to be tracking the classy winger as Arsene Wenger looks to reinforce his squad during the current transfer window.
But now, United supporters see a future for Nani under new manager David Moyes and that would see him pen new terms that guarantees his future in Manchester.
As punter points out, it is very possible that United could still sell Nani but this news will ensure that they receive a transfer fee if they do not decide to cash in.
