Manchester United fans are looking impressed here in the Football Transfer Tavern as Metro claim that the Red Devils have agreed to sign Radamel Falcao on a permanent deal in the summer.
The Colombian forward is getting used to life at Old Trafford and a new start in the Premier League and certainly has shown that he could well be a superstar for the Red Devils.
It seems that Monaco are willing to allow United to make his loan spell permanent in the summer, as long as United are willing to pay a massive £44 million to do so.
That is a massive amount of money according to our regulars but they did note that given the lingering doubts over the powers of Robin van Persie who is approaching the latter end of his career, signing the younger Falcao is probably a good move.
Our regulars seem to think that as long as Louis van Gaal also spends some serious cash on his defence, the side will be a force to be reckoned with next season – and probably back in the Champions League to boot!
Manchester United fans. Do you think that it is too much money for Falcao or is that what you have to pay for a world class player these days? Let us know your thoughts below.
