Manchester City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are confident they are pursuing the right man as the Mirror reveal they are stepping up their pursuit for Monaco’s highly-rated defender Layvin Kurzawa.
The 22-year-old left back has three years to run on his Monaco deal at the end of the season, meaning he will have a big price tag.
To add to the very difficult situation, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United are also keen on the left back.
Punters have asked the question where he would fit in at City because they already have Gael Clichy and Aleksandar Kolarov.
But Clichy’s form this season has been questionable whilst their former coach Roberto Mancini at Inter Milan wants to sign Kolarov.
Several punters in the Tavern assume that City will allow one of their current defenders to leave to make way for Kurzawa, however the majority of City fans in the Tavern have never seen Kurzawa play!
Manchester City fans. If it was up to you, who would you keep, Clichy or Kolarov? Let us know your thoughts below.
