Manchester United and Arsenal fans here inside the Football Transfer Tavern are getting annoyed after what they have just read in the Daily Star – with the publication claiming that Juventus have entered the race to sign Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain.
The Argentine forward is one of the world’s most clinical goal-scorers and he is yet to ply his trade in the Premier League.
Higuain, 27, is seemingly getting fed up with the lack of Champions League football at Napoli, and a move to Arsenal or Juventus could be exactly what the striker needs.
The striker really made his name at former club Real Madrid, where he notched an impressive 107 goals in 190 appearances, and as our landlord quips – that is an extremely good goals to appearances ratio!
Arsenal fans over by the bar here in the Transfer Tavern feel a player of Higuain’s standard is exactly who they should be going after, with all of them admitting they’d love to see the Argentine forward play for the Gunners.
