Manchester United and Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are preparing for a huge head to head battle after the Daily Mirror revealed they are both interest in Zenit St Petersburg ace Axel Witsel.
The Belgium midfielder has built up a good reputation in Russia and is now being linked with moves to the top clubs in Europe.
Witsel is looking for a move away from Zenit, giving United and the Blues confidence that they can sign him.
The wantaway midfielder is also being linked with Juventus after spending three years in Russia following a £29million move from Benfica in 2012.
United are expected to splash the cash and are favourites to sign him, alongside Chelsea, who will be looking to move with the times because they know that they must build on their strong team.
But Juve could lure him, because not only do they have a fantastic set of midfielders, but they also finished as champions in Serie A and runners up in the Champions League.
