Manchester United and Chelsea set to compete to sign world class striker

The banter was flying around the Transfer Tavern yesterday afternoon between Chelsea and Manchester United supporters as the two giants of English football locked horns at Old Trafford.

It was the United fans who earned bragging rights yesterday, with their 2-0 win throwing the title race in the Barclays Premier League wide open once more.

Our landlord has put a smile on both sets of supporters’ faces this morning after an article in Spanish publication, Don Balon, seemed to confirm that both Chelsea and Manchester United are interested in signing Alvaro Morata during the summer.

The article states that the Spaniard could leave Real Madrid during the next transfer window, if the Spanish giants are successful in their attempts to sign another striker, opening the door for the England duo.

A couple of football fans are enjoying a pint on Easter Monday and they are intrigued by this news, with one stating that Morata would be a quality signing for any Premier League club.

Chelsea and Manchester United fans, would you welcome the Real Madrid man to your club? Would he be a decent player in the Premier League? Let us know in the comments below!!!
