Interesting reports have emerged in the Football Transfer Tavern as the Daily Star suggest that Manchester United and Arsenal target – Sarpsborg’s 15-year-old goalkeeper Kjetil Haug – has been the subject of a ‘serious offer’.
Haug spent time at Old Trafford last month on trial and that has brought about speculation he will now sign professional terms at Manchester United.
However the young teenage stopper has also been linked with both Manchester City and Everton and he admitted that he would be open to joining any English side as he looks to improve his development.
The teen sensation said: “I talked a lot with Anders Lindegaard. He gave me lots of good advice about a possible transfer.”
The Norwegian side have now confirmed a bid has been made for Haug, but have failed to reveal the identity of the club.
Club representative Bjoerge Aaiestad told Sarpsborg Arbeiderblad: “We have got a serious offer for Kjetil and we have been informed that another offer will come from another club.
“What we would like to do is to enter into serious negotiations regarding a transfer of Kjetil.
“Due to respect for the clubs, we do not want to comment on names or whether it is a club Kjetil has visited.”
Will we see the young starlet arriving in the Premier League soon? Let us know your thoughts below.
