It seems there could be a rather expensive former hero returning to the Premier League this summer should the Daily Mail be believed.
The publication have claimed that Cesc Fabregas is on his way back to the Premier League, with Arsenal and Manchester United both keen on the Spanish star.
However, as our punters reach for another pint, they point out the fact that Fabregas will cost at least £45 million and despite Barcelona being willing to let him go, this is huge money for either club to shell out.
Arsenal of course know the Spaniard well, and we think that Gunners manager Arsene Wenger will be first in the queue when it comes to bringing the star back to the Premier League. However, at that price, the Frenchman might just have a heart attack before he can do it.
United and new manager van Gaal meanwhile are looking at various players to strengthen their midfield and Cesc’s name has been thrown about. With £200 million to spend, we think United may well be a more realistic option for the former Gunner.
Do you think that Cesc will come back to England? Is £45 million far too much? Let us know your thoughts below.
