Manchester United have slowly turned from being one of the most respected teams in the Premier League under the leadership of Sir Alex Ferguson to one that is the butt of most jokes in the Football Transfer Tavern at the moment.
United beat Swansea City 4-1 in their opening day fixture but have followed that up with a bore draw against title rivals Chelsea before an abject display against Liverpool last time out.
The misery in the tavern among United supporters has also been emphasised by the relative lack of movement in the summer transfer window that closed last Monday.
Moyes managed to bring Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini to Old Trafford but lost out on a number of key targets as he suffered a frustrating time in his first window as United boss.
This has brought about a series of pictures and jokes about the team he has inherited from Ferguson.
The latest image shows a clearly delighted David Moyes after his side managed to avoid dropping any points during the the weekend – but with the punch line that there were no games to lose due to the international break!
In truth, most punters in the tavern today can’t wait until the weekend when we get back into the swing of things in the Premier League again.
