Metro have an interesting claim for us here in he Football Transfer Tavern as they investigate the rumoured feud between Manchester United’s Robin van Persie and David Moyes.
As our landlord notes, firstly we were talking about the fact that RVP was blaming his injury problems on the training methods of Moyes and now it seems that the manager has come out and refuted those claims with a passion.
Our punters note that Moyes is under fire in a major way at the minute and coming out and defending his relationship with his star player is totally necessary.
“It couldn’t be further from the truth,” he said. “I keep saying it is untrue but for some reason people don’t want to write it or hear it.
“But it is the fact. Most people know that I talk pretty straight. If there was something wrong I would be the first one to come out and say it.
“I have a really good relationship with Robin, as I do with all the players. But when you are not winning, people look for reasons, and probably think I am not getting on with Robin.”
RVP certainly looks unhappy at the club at the minute, but then our punters note that no one is really happy at Old Trafford right now!
Our punters reckon it is quite simple. If United don’t scrape fourth, RVP will be on his way. Do you agree? Let us know your thoughts below.
