Manchester United boss won’t rest after landing Juan Mata

reumataMetro have some really good news for Manchester United fans today in the Football Transfer Tavern.

The good feeling comes after they claimed that Juan Mata is set to be the beginning of some major signings for the club.

The publication noted that not only is manager David Moyes shocked that he actually managed to land the player at all but he thinks that it is literally just the beginning for United.

He firstly spoke about landing Mata and stated: “I never felt that we would get that opportunity, I wasn’t sure that Chelsea would ever sell him to us,” said Moyes.

!Thankfully we got there and I am delighted he is here.

“I’m a bit surprised because it’s not something that tends to happen especially between Premier League teams.

“I was surprised when it happened but we have got a really exciting player, a player I’m looking forward to working with, a player I think everybody in football looked at and says he did a great job for Chelsea.”

As one of our punters notes over their Sunday dinner, the fact that Mata has already been lavished in praise by his manager is already a stark contrast from his previous boss, Jose Mourinho, who certainly came under fire in the open letter that Mata wrote to Chelsea fans.

Moyes also spoke about the future of United and claimed: “This is the first [signing], and there will be many more to come in time. I want the quality of Juan to be the start of it.

“I don’t think we will have any more [new signings] in January – I’m still working on it and looking to do so. But hopefully it will be the first of some new signings, some new players who will arrive, more likely in the summertime.”

Who will be the next marquee signing to rock up at Old Trafford? Let us know your thoughts below.
