Manchester United braced for double transfer raid

Patrice EvraThe Football Transfer Tavern recently went through a transitional period after the bar was handed over to a new landlord.

We managed to cope with the change as our current landlord came in with new ideas to freshen up the bar, although a few of the longest-serving staff did leave.

It feels that something similar will happen at Old Trafford this summer with a host of departures expected.

David Moyes has suffered a ‘transitional’ year following his arrival from Everton as he tries to replace Sir Alex Ferguson and now he must hope that the transition could be quickened by freshening up his squad.

Today’s speculation indicates that Patrice Evra and Nemanja Vidic could be playing together next season, but rather than in Manchester it could be Milan for the defensive duo.

Inter Milan want to sign Manchester United defender Evra along with Vidic in the summer, according to The Express

The 32-year-old left back could join Vidic at the San Siro, with the Serbian powerhouse set to be confirmed as an Inter player for next season in the coming days.

Evra has actually triggered an extension to stay at Old Trafford after completing a certain number of appearances, but he is still expected to leave as Moyes seeks a fresh start away from the team that led United to so much glory under Ferguson.

Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain are also thought to be looking at the French international.

The summer will clearly be a significant one at Old Trafford but do you agree with letting Evra depart the club? Let us know your thoughts below.
