Manchester United fans here in the Tavern are hoping that their side can bring in a couple of world-class players in the summer, after failing to challenge for the Champions League trophy.
Jose Mourinho will be looking forward to the summer transfer window as it gives him time to bolster his squad before the start of next season, with many of our local Mancunians expecting nothing less than silverware and success. Although, it looks as if the Red Devils are set to lose out on a summer target, as according to SunSport, Napoli’s Jorginho wants a move to Manchester City over Manchester United in the summer.
Indeed, both United and City have been monitoring the Brazilian as they look for midfield reinforcements, but it appears that the Premier League champions have the upper hand as Jorginho favours a move to the Etihad.
Manchester United want two midfielders this summer, with Michael Carrick set to retire and Marouane Fellaini set to leave on a free transfer.
However, it looks as if United may have to look elsewhere for a central midfielder as the Napoli star would prefer a move to City, with many of our local residents feeling slightly disappointed after hearing the news.
There’s no doubt that Jorginho is one of the most impressive midfielders in the whole of world football, as he continues to lead the charge for Napoli over in Italy. And, with Manchester United set to lose a couple of players in the summer transfer window, supporters will be gutted that the Italian would prefer a move to Manchester City.
