There is some good news for two of our most popular Premier League clubs here in the Football Transfer Tavern after Metro reported that Barcelona have pulled out of the race for Juan Cuadrado.
The Fiorentina winger has been heavily linked with all three clubs this summer and now it seems that it will be down to old friends Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho to fight it out for one of the World Cup’s star players.
As the majority of our punters claim in the tavern, we are not too fussed which club end up landing the player as we will get to enjoy him with a beer and burger on our big screen either way.
However, we think that the Red Devils could certainly do with Cuadrado’s talents far more than Chelsea could.
The Blues have been linked with selling Andre Schurrle this summer and this may free up some space for Cuadrado – but that seems a bit of a like-for-like swap according to our residents Blues supporting punters.
Manchester United fans. Just how much money would you be willing to spend on the Colombian player? Would you break the bank for him if you were manager? Let us know your thoughts below.
