Manchester United & Chelsea’s transfer hopes now dead in the water

Pogba.jpgManchester United and Chelsea fans have had their dreams of capturing one of the best youngsters in the world crushed in the Football Transfer Tavern as their target has signed a new deal with an Italian giant.

According to talkSPORT, Paul Pogba has signed a new deal with Juventus which will keep him in Turin until 2019, ending speculation of him departing the club in the near future.

The 21-year-old’s previous deal was due to expire in 2016 and heading into the January transfer window, several clubs were linked to snapping him up for big money.

And the Serie A club were desperate to tie him down on a new and improved deal as he is seen as one of the best young footballers in the world.

This pay rise is believed to be three times more than the Frenchman’s current payment of £23,000-a-week.

The club’s administrator, Giuseppe Marotta revealed it during their shareholders meeting in Turin where he said: “We have just signed Paul Pogba’s renewal until 2019.”

This is sad news for punters in the tavern who were hoping to see a young player of his calibre return to the Premier League.
