Manchester United fans here in the Football Transfer are keen to here the latest claim from the Daily Mail.
The publication seem to think that David Moyes is confident he can land Luke Shaw for around £25 million after a massive gap in Southampton’s finances was discovered.
The Saints were hoping to at least hold on to one of the hottest properties in football, Shaw, for at least one more season, but it has now emerged that they need at least £27 million to plug a gap in their finances.
Shaw is a target for both Chelsea and Manchester United and is looking to make the next move in his career after the World Cup this summer – and it is a World Cup that he could well be playing in.
Moyes meanwhile is looking to bring in players who can revive a struggling and declining Manchester United side, and is planning at least a couple of massive signings this summer in order to get the fans and the board back on side.
There will be a bidding war for Shaw – and our punters think the Saints could well raise more than the £27 million they need if Shaw has a good World Cup and indeed a host of sides bid for him.
Will Shaw be drawn in by the bright lights of a ‘bigger’ club this summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
