The Manchester United supporters here in the Transfer Tavern are eagerly anticipating the summer months, with several new players set to arrive at Old Trafford.
Our landlord in the Tavern has spotted some news which involves one of United’s current squad members in today’s edition of The Mirror.
The news revolves around defender Phil Jones, with the report confirming that the ex-Blackburn Rovers man is part of Jose Mourinho’s plans despite the arrival of Eric Bailly, who has joined from Villarreal.
The article also suggests that Jones might become United’s version of John Terry, according to Mourinho, who seemingly wants Jones to play a sizeable part in the United team next season.
One Manchester United fan is sat waiting for the Saturday evening entertainment to get underway and he is glad that Jones has a future at Old Trafford, stating that there is plenty of other deadwood at United who should be closer to the exit door.
Manchester United fans, are you happy that Jones is set to stay? Will he be a starting regular next season?
