But his arrival means an inevitable departure and according to Sky Sports, the striker vacating Old Trafford is Javier Hernandez.
The Mexican has recently touched town in Spain to undergo a medical with La Liga giants Real Madrid who will be signing the 26-year old on a season long loan.
It is believed that the Spanish outfit will cover all of the player’s £90,000-a-week wages during his time at the Bernabeu – helping ease the £200,000-a-week wages of Falcao.
But Hernandez may not be the only Manchester United going out on loan today with numerous clubs also looking at the availability of Danny Welbeck.
Tottenham are believed to be leading the race for the striker but reports also suggest that there is interest from other Premier League clubs including Hull City and Newcastle United.
