Finally Manchester United fans are sitting and smiling here in the Football Transfer Tavern after the Daily Mirror claimed that the club are looking to offload two of their worst players this winter.
David Moyes has been less than impressed with certain members of his squad this season and the results have been telling.
The club are now so far off the top of the table that even their own fans are questioning if they have the ability to win the title for the 21st time.
Now it seems that winger Ashley Young and midfielder Anderson are on their way out of Old Trafford after Moyes finally grew tired of the duo.
Young has been given chance after chance and has failed to perform since the start of the season. After his performance in the derby defeat to Manchester City, Young has failed to start another game for the Red Devils.
Anderson meanwhile has been abysmal since his move to the club back in 2007.
A permanent deal would be the favoured option for both of the duo, but Moyes is also willing to consider a loan option in order to trim the squad, free up wages and get some fresh faces in this winter.
The manager is coming under increasing pressure at the club and is fully aware that he cannot afford to carry passengers who are not performing and helping get three points each week.
Will the duo end up departing Old Trafford this January? Let us know your thoughts below.
