The Daily Mail certainly have Manchester United fans looking worried here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they seem to think that the club may struggle to hold onto some of their best young players.
Both Tyler Blackett and Paddy McNair have made regular appearances for the Red Devils first team this term under Louis van Gaal and both have an undeniably bright future in football, and United understandably want it to be at Old Trafford.
However with both their current deals coming towards an end, the starlets would be free to talk with foreign clubs come the turn of the year and both have attracted a fair amount of interest.
One of our punters makes a valid point over a pint and notes that the duo are being handed first team chances and have a manager who knows when to play them and when to allow them to have a rest or take them out of the limelight.
van Gaal of course displayed that with McNair recently, hauling him off in the first half against Southampton after a shaky performance.
Despite these reports, the majority of our punters think that both players will sign new deals at Old Trafford and go on to become valuable assets in the future.
