Manchester United enter talks to secure deal for ex-Chelsea playmaker

Kevin de BruyneManchester United fans are rushing over to the bar here in the Football Transfer Tavern to read the news from Metro – with the publication claiming that the Red Devils have opened talks with Wolfsburg for midfielder Kevin de Bruyne.

De Bruyne, 23, has excelled since he left Chelsea for Wolfsburg in 2014, and he has accumulated a sizeable 15 goals from 47 appearances for the German outfit this season.

The Belgian attacking midfielder never really got a chance to shine at Stamford Bridge when he was at the club, but Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United are seemingly interested in a move for the player this summer.

The publication claims that £50 million is the fee that would be enough to prize him away from the Bundesliga club this summer, but whether Man United would stump up such a fee is uncertain.

A small group of United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern feel this would be a good addition to the side, but a fee of £50 million is simply way, way too much!
