Manchester United supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern are extremely surprised at the news they have read in the Newcastle Chronicle – with the publication claiming that Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United are keeping tabs on Newcastle striker Ayoze Perez.
The 22-year-old has made 38 appearances for the Magpies since arriving at the club in 2014 from Tenerife, and it seems his lively performances have caught the attention of the Red Devils manager.
Now, our resident Manchester United fans sat over in the corner of the Transfer Tavern really aren’t sure what to make of this news, with them all admitting they have been impressed with his workrate and high-tempo displays, but have qualms over the limited amount of goals he has scored.
Our landlord feels this could actually be a shrewd purchase for the Manchester club, because Perez is only 22, and has shown flashes of brilliance during his time at St James Park – he just needs a regular run of games to help get the best out of him!
Manchester United fans….. What do you make of this news? Would Ayoze Perez be a good signing? Or not? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
