Manchester United eyeing signature of Eredivisie wonderkid

West Bromwich Albion v Manchester United - Barclays Premier LeagueManchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern hope the club can use their manager’s reputation as they hope to beat a host of top European clubs to a Dutch wonderkid.

According to The Mirror, United face stiff competition from Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool as they chase Heerenveen’s young starlet Daley Sinkgraven.

The Red Devils are ready to step up their pursuit of the 19-year-old midfielder as they are fully aware of the current competition scrambling for Sinkgraven’s talents.

Following some eye-catching performances in the Eredivisie this season, Louis van Gaal has demanded more detailed scout reports of the player as he begins to plot a bid in order to be stay one step ahead of his rivals.

Our resident punters feel van Gaal holds a slight advantage over his rival managers due to his previous role as manager of the Netherlands and this could be enough to tempt the Dutch Under-21 international to Old Trafford.

It is expected that if United were able to strike a deal, he would stay with Heerenveen until the end of next season.

If this agreement were to happen, it would be ideal for both parties.

Sinkgraven would be more comfortable further honing his development at his current club and with the Red Devils finding their feet this season, it means he will be able to join the club at the end of next season under less pressure.
