Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking far more pleased with themselves today.
An impressive first half attacking display put a poor Fulham side to the sword yesterday to keep up with the pace of the leading pack.
However all United supporters will admit that they still have issues in their side following a highlydisappointing summer transfer window for Sir Alex Ferguson’s successor David Moyes.
Now United are expected to move in January as the Red Devils look to make a big statement to the Premier League.
Today’s Metro suggest that Moyes is considering a big money swoop for Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus when the January transfer window opens to make this major statement.
Bringing one of the finest young midfielder in Europe would certainly do this and the paper reports that United’s chief executive Ed Woodward is currently working on a stunning £25 million deal.
Moyes believes that the 24-year-old winger would give his squad the chance of challenging for the Premier League title and although Dortmund will be desperate to keep hold of their star man, United have a ploy to make them consider the transfer.
Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp is a known admirer of former BVB star Shinji Kagawa and today’s reports suggest that United are willing to throw out of favour winger to complete the deal. Something that would take a lot of pressure off Moyes and Woodward with Reus very highly regarded in the tavern.
