Manchester United fans are looking around nervously here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it is claimed by the Daily Mail that the club will face a tough time if they want to land Newcastle United’s Yohan Cabaye.
Mike Ashley’s favourite Magpies player is being tracked by a host of clubs including the champions but given mega rich Monaco and also Serie A duo Napoli and Roma are also sniffing around the 27-year-old, David Moyes may well have to do some serious negotiating to land the French international.
Cabaye has proved a success in the Premier League and has been one of the best Newcastle United players in the last couple of seasons and now has spoken out over his desire to further his career ahead of the 2014 World Cup and move to a club playing in the Champions League.
United are keen on the talented player and are willing to spend the time and money to being him to Old Trafford and seem to be the front runners at the minute, especially over the two clubs from Italy, yet as we have seen before, Monaco can provide certain lures of the tax free variety for players and a move to the Stade Louis II is not totally out of the question either.
Will Cabaye be on the move this summer, and to whom? Let us know your thoughts below.
