Manchester United failed in late swoop for La Liga wonderkid

vangaal.jpgThere are not many players that were not linked to Manchester United in this summer’s transfer window and the fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have just learned of another late miss.

Because according to The Express, the Red Devils failed in a late bid for Barcelona teenager Adama Traore.

Reports suggest that Louis van Gaal’s side pursued the wonderkid from early on in the window but failed to secure a permanent deal for him.

But it is believed that the Manchester club could go back in for the Catalan ace when the transfer window re-opens again in January.

The winger joined the Barcelona youth set-up when he was just eight-years-old and made his first-team debut under Gerardo Martino in November when he was just 17.

Numerous clubs have now been made aware of the talented teen with Manchester United’s pursuit no longer a secret.

However, it appears that Traore is happy to stay with the La Liga club after holding talks with new manager Luis Enrique and sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta about his future at the club.
