Manchester United: Fans excited as Anthony Martial returns from injury in Europa League win

Manchester United fans were left excited after Anthony Martial made his first start for the club after his return from a thigh injury.

Martial was out for two months after sustaining the injury in the 2-1 loss at home to Crystal Palace back in August (via Manchester Evening News).

The 18-cap France international returned to action last night as he scored the winning goal from the penalty spot, ensuring United topped their Europa League group.

However, despite his return to form, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer voiced his displeasure at the forward players after yesterday’s victory, claiming they didn’t work hard enough defensively (MUTV via Metro).

The Old Trafford giants had just one shot on target throughout the 90 minutes from just five shots at goal  (via BBC).

Fans seemed thrilled at the return of their number nine, though, as they took to Twitter to react.
