Manchester United: Fans hold hope they can sign attacker in January

Manchester United fans are praying to a higher power that they can still sign Bruno Fernandes in the January transfer window.
The hope comes after the closure of the summer transfer window in Spain with no confirmation that Fernandes completed a prospective move to Real Madrid.
Fernandes was heavily linked with a move to England in the summer transfer window, with both the Old Trafford giants and Tottenham Hotspur linked with a move.
The Sporting CP player came out and said in an interview that the Portuguese club blocked a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer (via Sky Sports).
The 24-year-old enjoyed a stunning campaign last season, scoring 32 goals and assisting 18 in all competitions for Sporting (via Transfermarkt).
With Real seemingly failing to complete a move for the star, United fans are praying the club can resurrect a deal to sign Fernandes in the future.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Old Trafford faithful:
Pray to God, Utd see sense and go in for him in January.
